Consulting for Organizational & Marketing Development

2010 by LeNore Beserra

ASAP Services specializes in business Organization and Marketing Development by providing Research and Analysis of the clients’ business processes and management and market branding. The company was originally founded in 1982 as a one-person endeavor that grew quickly into a fully staffed service company. The original company mission provided legal support services in the San Francisco Bay Area as well as state wide and national legal communities.

In the next 23 years ASAP developed its reputation for excellent service by providing its clients with unmatched follow-up and detail at all levels of legal service support. ASAP revenues grew annually in the next 5 years and demonstrated proven year in and year out growth under the leadership of its founder, LeNore Beserra. Under that leadership ASAP Services became a leading provider in the Legal Support Services industry.

LeNore Beserra started her professional career in 1971 by applying for and qualifying for the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) tour. For the next seven years LeNore distinguished herself on the tour and represented such well-known corporations as PING, Etonic, Foot Joy, Titleist, and Hogan. As a LPGA Player LeNore also represented Calabasas Country Club and Lakeside Golf Club, both very prestigious organizations with high profile members well known in both the film and music industries. LeNore was found regularly playing golf, giving lessons, and often receive “golf tips” from actors, musicians and studio executives. In her role LeNore regularly represented the club during sponsor events.

One of LeNore’s special memories was meeting Lee Trevino after her first year on the LPGA tour while he was filming a weekly television celebrity golf show at Calabasas Country Club. After the introduction LeNore and Lee became very good friends often seeing each other at other events while traveling on their respective tours. One of Lee’s biggest fans was LeNore’s father, Leo Beserra. So when LeNore surprised her father with “a friend of mine is coming over to join us for dinner,” her father couldn’t believe his eyes when he answered the front door, and there stood Lee Trevino!

Leaving the LPGA in 1977, LeNore went to play on the women’s mini-tour that was just starting up in California, the Women’s Professional Golf Association (WPGT). At the time this was the only mini-tour for women where they could find weekly competition as well as financial prize monies to continue their quest to play professional golf. As a playing member and the first president of the newly formed WPGT Players Association LeNore helped write the By-Laws to create the first Players Board. As interest in women’s professional golf grew so did the WPGT membership along with other new organization for the promotion of women’s golf. LeNore quickly saw the opportunity to play a new role as a Promoter for the WPGT and for those women aspiring to play on the LPGA tour. So she set off for Sacramento where, in six months, she pulled together two tournaments for the WPGT each with $10,000 purses, the largest purses to date for the WPGT players. This endeavor launched a new career for LeNore with the WPGT. She became Advanced Organizer for leads and sponsor development and along with these responsibilities also established fund raising revenues for several Non-Profit organizations that became associated with individual WPGT tour events. More sponsors, larger prize money, non-profit fundraising, and the need for many more volunteers required significant development and organization by LeNore with the WPGT staff.

In 1980, LeNore retired from professional golf to pursue other opportunities. Richard Beserra, an attorney in Oakland and LeNore's brother, secured LeNore’s services to assist with the establishment of his new practice. With Richard’s direct knowledge and help, LeNore learned the trade that would ultimately lead to the establishment of what would become Attorney Service and Process, Inc., ASAP Services. Her responsibilities included training employees, overseeing case calendaring, court filings, billing, accounts receivable, office management and vendor services.

It was with these new skills that LeNore ventured out in 1980 and developed her next major association with Now Courier, an air courier company in San Francisco that was looking to grow their business into the legal support services industry. LeNore was engaged by the firm to guide this endeavor. She reorganized this specialized business department, developed employee training programs, and grew Now’s legal support service base. LeNore managed the merging of ground and air services with the new legal services, adding niche market development growth for Now Courier.

Come 1982 it was time for LeNore to begin putting her best efforts to work for herself so she established Attorney Service and Process, Inc (dba ASAP Services) and for the next 23 years she put all her wealth of skills and experience to that task with great results emerging as an industry leader with and extensive client rosters of law firms and legal departments regionally, state wide and nationally. ASAP Services also established many professional business relationships with other like-minded business owners in the legal industry and beyond. It was during this time that LeNore met Earl Hyde who also worked in the legal support services industry. They collaborated on building a legal support database system, from the ground up, that was created and use exclusively by ASAP Services. However, along with many other advances in technology, by 2004 the State Bar Association of California together with the California Courts system adopted many new rules and regulations that dramatically changed the Legal Support Services industry and the markets that had been built over decades.

So LeNore turned her attentions and suite of skills to forming a consultancy dedicated to helping other small companies and sole proprietorships grow their businesses. Through Strategic Planning and Marketing and by developing Quality Management of Products and Services along with other services ASAP Services can guide their clients toward substantial increase in revenue that will be anchored by Customer Satisfaction and Organizational Excellence [OE]. Having spent much of her career organizing resources, training teams, promoting business and generating revenue, LeNore is well positioned to assist others achieve similar successes.
